[Wiki] Hire? Rosu? Hire-katsu? Rosu-katsu?

If you go to a restaurant specializing in tonkatsu, there are many cases where Hirekatsu and Rothkatsu are the representative menu items. So, what are Hirekatsu and Rothkatsu?

Rosu-katsu (Sirloin)

 

These words seems not  Japanese, but they are used in Japan. "Hire" means tenderloin in Japanese. The etymology of Hire is said to be derived from the French word filet, but in Japan it is said Hire. On the other hand, "Rosu" refers to sirloin in Japanese, and it is said to have originated from the English roast.
